These terms cover using this website, which is run by Mercury Jane Media, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. They are not the agreement for a project. If you hire me, we sign a separate proposal and agreement that covers the work itself, and if anything here ever conflicts with that signed agreement, the signed agreement wins.
Using the site
Read it, share it, link to it, get in touch. That's what it's for. Please don't:
- copy the writing, design, or code and use it as your own
- scrape it in bulk or hit it with automated requests
- try to break into it or interfere with anyone else's use of it
- use it for anything illegal
What's mine
The writing, design, layout, photography, and code on this site are owned by or licensed to Mercury Jane Media, LLC, and they're protected by copyright. The marks (the logo and the name Mercury Jane) belong to the company as well. Visiting the site doesn't give you a license to use any of it.
Client work shown here
Case studies, screenshots, and testimonials are published with the client's permission. Their logos, brand names, and content belong to them, not to me. The quotes are real quotes from real clients, and one client's results aren't a promise of yours.
Results and claims
I publish real numbers from real projects (a conversion lift here, a traffic gain there). Those things happened. They aren't a guarantee of what will happen for you, because your market, your service, your pricing, and how quickly you follow up on a lead all matter alongside the website itself.
Every build includes an SEO foundation: clean structure, fast pages, and copy written the way people actually search. Where rankings land after that depends on Google, on your competitors, and on time, and none of us control those. I don't promise rankings.

Prices and timelines
The prices and timelines published here are current as of the date at the top of this page, and they can change. Nothing on this site is a binding offer. A project is booked when we've both signed an agreement and the deposit has been paid.
Links to other places
This site links out to Calendly, to client websites, and occasionally elsewhere. Those places have their own terms and their own privacy practices, and I'm not responsible for what they do.
The site is provided as it is
I work to keep this site accurate and online, but things break and content goes stale. To the fullest extent the law allows, this site is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. I don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the company isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of this site, and its total liability for any claim relating to this site is limited to $100. None of that limits anything that can't be limited by law, and none of it changes what we agree to in a signed project agreement.
Because the company is an LLC, any claim relating to this site is a claim against the company itself, not against its members, managers, or employees personally.
Where this is governed
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about this site belongs in the state or federal courts serving Lake County, Florida.
Changes to these terms
I update these when something needs updating, and the date at the top tells you when that last happened. Using the site after a change means the current version applies.
