Where she started

Melissa Ems runs an independent insurance agency in St. Petersburg. Her old website was a WordPress template someone else had set up, and it looked like a lot of agency sites: a dark photo of an empty office and a headline about how buying insurance doesn’t have to be stressful.

Her agency has more personality than that, and she wanted a site that showed it.

What we did

Melissa knew the feel she wanted before we started (in her words, “I told her what I wanted the vibe of my website to be and she made it happen”). So the new site says it in the first line: “Insurance is a pain. We’re not.”

Her branding came from somewhere else, so this one was the website only: the words, the design, and the build. It sits on the same search foundation I give every site, which means it’s fast on a phone, cleanly structured, and written the way people actually search for an agency.

What happened

Over the year after launch, organic traffic (people finding her on Google, not through ads) went up 247%, and her leads went up 87%. On her main local search, she went from 15th on Google to 2nd.

Your website should be
working as hard as you do.

If you're tired of being embarrassed by your site, losing leads to competitors, or just not sure where to start, that's exactly what the discovery call is for. No pressure, no jargon. Just a conversation about your business (and what a better website could do for it).
